Dr. Tung Mai attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the Wayne State University College of Medicine in Michigan. He graduated Summa cum Laude from San Diego State University.
Dr. Tung Mai was an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the Department of Primary Care at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He provides preventive and comprehensive care management of acute and chronic conditions, concurrent with patient education and self-management strategies.
Since 2021, Dr Tung Mai has served as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), rigorously assessing pilots to ensure they meet the health criteria essential for safe flight. With a background in internal medicine, he offers a comprehensive understanding of health, enabling him to approach aviation medicine holistically. As a proficient pilot in helicopters and airplanes, he intimately understands the challenges of flying.
